Causes and Elimination Methods for Abnormal Phenomena of Intake Valves
1. Intake Valve Fails to Load
Causes:
No power supply to the solenoid valve
Damaged solenoid valve
Impurities inside the solenoid valve lead to poor operation or blocked exhaust port
Deteriorated lubricating oil increases friction between the piston sealing ring and cylinder of the intake valve, preventing reset
The capacity regulating valve closes the intake valve
Solutions:
Inspect the circuit and restore normal operation of the solenoid valve.
Replace the solenoid coil or the complete solenoid valve body.
Disassemble the solenoid valve and remove internal impurities.
Disassemble the intake valve, clear internal oil stains and sludge on the cylinder inner wall, and replace with stable high-quality lubricating oil.
Adjust the capacity regulating valve (module) of the intake valve.
2. Intake Valve Fails to Unload
Causes:
The solenoid valve remains energized
Damaged solenoid valve
Blocked small orifice inside the solenoid valve
Blocked throttling hole inside the intake valve
Excessively fast blowdown speed
Solutions:
Inspect the circuit and restore normal operation of the solenoid valve.
Replace the solenoid coil or the complete solenoid valve body.
Disassemble the solenoid valve and remove internal impurities.
Disassemble the intake valve and clear impurities in the throttling hole.
Adjust the blowdown speed; enlarge the air pipe diameter or install an elbow.
3. Oil Ejection from the Intake Valve
Causes:
Faulty oil separator
Blocked oil return check valve
Poor filtration performance of the air filter; impurities adhere to the sealing surface of the intake valve spool resulting in sealing failure
Severe operating environment of the air compressor causes wear between the intake valve piston and spring seat assembly
Solutions:
Inspect the oil separator and replace the separator element.
Remove the oil return check valve and clear internal impurities.
Inspect and replace the air filter; thoroughly clean the intake valve pipeline.
Replace the intake valve, shorten the maintenance cycle of the air compressor, and advise the user to improve the operating environment.
